2010
Full of promise
The grape harvest began at the domaine Joël Remy on 24th September. The final cuts of the secateurs were made on 30th September.
The ripening process was long and slow, after a mixed summer. The cool September nights made it possible to keep the vines in excellent sanitary condition. The warm days brought the grapes to the awaited ripeness.
Appraisal of this grape harvest: the 2010 vintage promises very good results, with small quantities
2009
The great vintage
The white wines are very luxuriant, thick and opulent. Fragrances of candied fruit predominate in the bouquet. This vintage is characterised by balance and roundness on the palate. It is ready for drinking as from the present.
The red wines are dense and refined. The nose reveals notes of ripe soft fruits, such as blueberries and morello cherries. Volume and generosity predominate on the palate. The silky tannins are only just perceptible.
2008
Wines trained for ageing.
The white wines are lively with mineral tones. The nose is marked by yellow peach fragrances and lemony notes. Mineral notes and intensity predominate on the palate with this vintage, which will develop with a few years ageing.
The red wines are light in colour. The bouquet is very aromatic: notes of small soft fruit, plums and spices. The palate is structured and balanced, with a perceptible acidity, which will ensure excellent ageing for the domaine’s wines.
2007
Fruit and finesse
The white wines are beautifully balanced. Apples of the Golden variety predominate in the fragrances of this vintage. Their luxuriousness on the palate gives a refined structure to wines made from the Chardonnay grape variety.
The red wines, which are crimson in colour, promise an excellent maturity. The tannins are fine and elegant and in harmony with the structure of the wines. Candied fruits predominate in the bouquet.
